A Certain Future
In my last post I talked about risk and the fear of unknown and how these two factors of life weigh in on our personal success and motivation. Let's talk about how to build a certain future while facing the unknown outcomes of the future.
It Starts with Imagination!
Each and everyone one of us has the magnificent capacity to see or envision the things we want before we have them. This is a powerful gift from God which enables us to achieve anything we put our minds and hearts to. We must only be able to see it clearly and believe that the thing we see in our mind is actually attainable.
Do not underestimate you own ability to create! You imagination allows to you create something from nothing by simply seeing it first. This is awesome power! That's why it doesn't matter what you have and what you don't have. All that matters is your ability to see clearly what you want and the desire and belief to go after it and possess it.
One of my favorite definitions for imagination is the picturing power of the mind. You can create the very future you want...a certain future...from your powers of mind and thought. Consider this, you and I actually think in pictures each moment of each day. It is so much of part of what we do we scarcely consider how powerfully influencial these pictures in our minds are in guiding us towards constructing lives of success and motivation...or failure.
In most of what we do, we first "see" ourselves doing it before we actually do it. Whether it is kissing our spouse and kids, driving a car or shopping for anything. We imagine ourselves in action, taking the step, or engaging a process. We are literally guiding by the pictures in our mind and how see ourselves in action from our minds is how we take action in life.
Control of Your Imagination Means Control of Your Life
There is nothing more definite then a chief aim or purpose fueled by a clear vision of attainment. You have the power to control what you see and what you will attain. You can lose something, have something taken from you or feel that you've never had something to begin with.
One thing you have always possessed is the power to think, see and rethink what you can be, what you can do and who you can become.
It is your imagination that will power your comebacks, and follow up attempts at achievement. It is your imagination that fuel your first attempt to get up and get it going. No one gets it right the first time. No one. It doesn't matter what your past has been or what your current situation is. If you can see a better life then you can have a better life!
What do you need to be happy? I promise you that if you see it first and act the part you will transform and your life will evolve into what you first saw in your minds eye. So I ask you again, what do you need to be happy? What do you really want and what do you really want to do?
You imagination is the staging ground for your life's outcomes. You don't have to imagine fear, lack and failure. You control that. You and you alone. If you will embrace a future of possibilities and image for change that you future is bright you will find new strength and inspiration.
Rise up from shatter dreams and misplaced hopes! Come back from the former failures and discouraging words! Say no to intimidation and fear!
Your Imagination is the Cornerstone of Change and Renewal
Now is the time to renew your intensity for living life on your terms! You can, if you see that you can. Your success depends on your ability to imagine the future you desire and your motivation depends on dreams that excite you and create a compelling reason for living out loud. A purpose driven life is a powerful life.
When your imagination is in full swing you cannot be denied. You may encounter delay and even setbacks but you cannot be denied. Imagination is the corner of comebacks! Your ability to come up with new combinations of actions to get up and keep going is unlimited!
The uncertainty of the future diminishes and fades away when it is overshadowed by a clear picture of what you desire. You don't have to worry about what you don't have and what the future "may" bring. When you are clear, specific and imaginative...life will supply you will all you need to make your dreams a "definite" reality.

Definitiveness Part 2: Clarity of Aim for Massive Gains
In a previous post Definitiveness: What's Your Meaning?, I talked about the importance of defining ourselves and self assigning meaning and defining purpose for your success motivation and positive thinking goals. I want to share with you now four areas of definition that can help you gain the traction and momentum you are seeking for lifelong success.
Clarity Is Critical
Clarity is critical for any goal of success and positive change. Without clarity we are working with fuzzy logic and fuzzy vision. It is difficult to identify the opportunities for advancement when we don't have a clear picture of what we want or where we want to go. The more specific you can the get about what you want, why you want it and how you plan to get it the more power you generate.
When your are congruent or united in spirit, soul and body on what you want and no part of you isn't committed, you have upstoppable confidence and power to get what you want. In this series on definition the idea is to define and establish meaning with clarity. You need to establish the what, why and how of your life's purposes and pursuits. You must establish belief in what you want, belief that you deserve it and belief that propels you to persistent action.
When you are clear you can fully commit yourself to your life's goals and pursuit. You can say to yourself, "Whatever it takes, however long it takes!". Purpose trumps substance. It isn't enough to just want "stuff". You have to establish powerful why's. Otherwise, the storms and challenge may buffet you right out of your dream. With clarity of purpose, definition and meaning both in your life and regarding who you declare yourself to be... you will become unshakable when when things start to shake out. Here are four area to further definition:
Define These 4 And You'll Get Much More
Clarity of aim equals massive gains. When you define these 4 areas that follow you will get much more than you may be getting now. If you are already performing well in these areas then tweaking and redefining is in order. Never settle for yesteredays victories. Keep challenging yourself and challenging your ideas of who you are, what you want and how you plan to get there. Stay flexible but stay as clear as you possibly can at all times.
Definite Aim. We all need clarity of aim. What is your target? What are you shooting for? When you define and declare who you are and establish meaning the next step is your mission. Definition and meaning are always tied to purpose. Purpose is carried out by doing and living the life that fully expresses your true self. This requires a clear aim. You must establish clearly what you are going to do and you must do this on a regular basis. We are most idle and lose time when we are unclear on our target and unclear on how to get to the target. A definite aim keeps of focused, motivated and serves as a natural filter to the distractions of life.
Definite Purpose. This bears repeating. Without purpose you will struggle to answer the "why" to keep it going when the going gets touch. You tape into your highest potential when you establish meaning bases on your highest beliefs and values. When you embrace a mission, call or sense of obligation about what you do or plan to do, you have all the resources you need to break free and get it going. Everything else will false in line. Life favors the bold. Life is drawn out in abundance to the man or woman on a mission. The world will make way for you and you will make your dreams come true.
Definite Decision. Listen, don't be double-minded. You don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going. Don't wait for perfection. It will never come. The ideal scenario does not exist. The ideal scenario and moment is NOW. You have to make definite and clear decisions in the face of what you clearly want. It's not enough to plan, think and dream. You must make decisions. Don't leave your fate in the hands of someone else. Make decisions for yourself and decide in favor of the things that will get you what you truly want. Skip the easy path. Definite Aim and Purpose will bulldoze over any difficulty you encounter. When you make a conscious decision you are exercising awareness and full control in your life. Don't be afraid of making a mistake. No one has achieved any level of success without being willing to make a mistake and without ever making a mistake. Don't hesitate. If you are going to act...act now and act with commitment and definition. Put your all into your action.
Definite Action. When you act with definition you are make a clear decision to make a decision to act. Deciding and action are not the same thing. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak as the saying goes. In other words, you may have the heart and mind to act and you may have clearly decided to act but when you act you must take clearly defined steps to completion and accomplishment. Keep your all in your action. When you act, you must act again and again and again. Keep refining your actions by defining your actions. Act boldly and in the clear. Don't allow your life to be hidden away and buried. Act out and take bold action towards what you want. Don't half act. That only leads to underachievement. Action that is clearly defined and fueled by a definite aim, definite purpose and the definite decision to act is action that leads to transformation.
Are Your Clear?
Your transformation requires that you assign responsibility for your life to yourself and no one else. Who's defining you? Are you clear on what you want, who you are and where you are going? We can all benefit for additional clarity and definition in our lives. You should spend time tuning your life by examining who you believe you are, what you believe you are here to do and how you believe you are to go about accomplishing and fulfilling your life's purpose.

Finding Your Sweet Spot or Discovery of Purpose Part 2
In Part 1 of this series of articles on Finding Your Sweet Spot I end with Starting with Discovery as a first step in getting moving towards purpose. Let's expand some more on the discovery process.
Ways to discover your purpose:
1. Talents (natural and learned)
Your talents are good lifemarks to what your purpose may be. Lifemarks are landmarks in your life that can point or orient you to the direction you should take in finding what fulfills you the most.
2. Service to others.
Your service to others can be a good discovery ground for find your purpose. People find their life purpose by exploring ways to serve others as well. In what capacity to you currently serve others and what types of service are you willing to explore as a part of your discovery process? Service to others is a great enabler to unlocking passion and helping us realize what we value most. For example, missions, hospice or teaching are great service oriented roles that lend themselves to discovery of purpose.
3. Learning Styles.
Your learning styles are great ways to explore discovery of purpose through learning. Learning opens to the door to greater success and possibilities and is fundamental to creating life changes. When you learn how you learn and when you learn how to learn...you create unlimited possibility. You are infinitely upgradeable through learning. Unlocking powerful learning unlocks powerful living.
4. Life Challenges and Failures.
The things that challenge us the most can become our calling. Breakdowns and setbacks in life become build ups and set ups for comebacks! Turn your lemons into lemonade as the famous saying goes. Temporary defeat becomes your victory. Failure is not a dirty word if you understand that it is only feedback. But failure teaches us something. When we miss the mark that is a great time for learning and getting stronger. What are your challenges and what have been your failures from which you can discover or recover direction for your life's purpose?
5. Passions and Interests.
Passions and interests are natural places to easily discover purpose and I touched on this in part 1 of this series. Explore your interest and look for your passion patterns. That is, look for the interest that frequently get your attention. Look at the activities you do that frequently unleash your natural brilliance and intuitive insight. Identify that the things that you do very well ask how they might be lifemarks to your purpose and destiny.

Finding Your Sweet Spot or Discovery of Purpose Part 1
Do you know what your sweet spot is? Have you even searched for it? Finding your sweet spot is about finding your center, your joy and releasing your passions. In todays increasing economy of free agency, independent consultancy and information explosion it is critical that you find what you really love to do and what you are really good at.
You have more options than ever before to chart your own course, customize your life and create the lifestyle balance that you really want and succeed and prosper as the same time. You don't have to be tied to an office or desk if you don't want to. You don't have to get a traditional education if you don't want to. You don't have to follow the status quo if you don't want to (and you shouldn't do that anyway!).
The information age and information economy along with technology and the Internet are providing whole new opportunities to make our dreams come true and create success. You can reach out the more people, creative more opportunities for self-directed success and wealth and live life on your own terms. So what do you really want to do? What are your really good at? Can you create a new life of happiness and success with your sweet spot?
Finding Your Sweet Spot
Here are a few questions that may help you uncover you sweet spot.
1. What do you feel you are good at right now?
2. What do others say about your abilities? In other words, what do others praise you for being able to do well and that they wish they could do it like you?
3. What is your current expertise or what do you know the most about?
4. What is your passion pattern? In other words, what do you find yourself doing most frequently with the most passion or what are your frequently passionate interest?
5. What types of things are you very intuitive about or what activities demonstrate your natural talents (natural brilliance)?
6. Does your current activity make full use of your natural talents and abilities?
7. Are you happy with your current work and life? If not, why not? What will make you happy?
Life is full of purpose. You have to find yours. That's right...YOU have to do it. Part of our journey of success motivation is discovering what our purpose is. You should not be frustrated by the fact that you may not know what you want to do or what your purpose may be. While in reality, this can indeed be a frustrating aspect of life...embrace the discovery process and enjoy exploring the possibilities for what you want to and what you want to become.
If you want automatic change or instant change you are only adding unnecessary frustration. Change is neither automatic or instant. You can avoid compressed timelines that only create anxiety by realizing that time is on your side if you act now and act conistently. By taking responsibility for your own happiness you place yourself as the real agent of change. Everything else becomes a resource to assist you on your journey and you release yourself from random chance and instead you create your own opportunities and can recognize opportunities that are favorable for helping you achieve your goals.
Starting with Discovery
Starting with discovery establishes focus, productivity and accomplishment. You may not have the specific clarity of goals to achieve something specific just yet however by starting with dscovery you now have a clear action to take. That action is to discover what you want to do. Enjoy that process. That alone can be exhilarating! Introspection and self evaluation can unearth a wealth of dreams and possibilities to unlock your best life now. By giving time back to yourself to attend to what you really want you are doing the best thing for everyone else you care most about. Starting with discovery you also get a sense of direction as well. You begin to feel like you are doing something for you instead of just drifting. Excitement will begin to build in anticipation of what you will discover and of what possibilities the future holds for you. Start with discovery by asking yourself questions. Start with the few I've listed and any other questions that make sense. Ask yourself pointed and powerful questions for powerful answers that will sharpen your awareness of self and get you focused.
As you prepare for the weekend take some time to reflect and think about what you really want to do and become. Your breakthroughs will result from focus and motion. Get clear on what you want and get moving towards what you want in your breakthroughs and miracles will happen. Getting into focus requires reflection. You want to find your sweet spot, your zone, your passion and build your life around what you truly find thrilling and which is consistent with your highest values and beliefs. This creates alignment and congruent action at all levels of your being and with you are aligned within yourself and passionately clear on what you belief and what you will do...that is power that no one can resist and no distraction or life obstacle can stop.

Dream For A Change!
Perseverance must become you companion as you reach for excellence. You should have no other standard than doing your very best to achieve and deliver the very best results for your life.
On the journey of achievement you will have to handle those that would stand in you way and hinder your progress. It is easy to look for that person who is clearly and enemy or adversary and resist that person. But you should also mark those who are called friends but in reality they are underachievers looking to keep you in the club.
Terminate Your Membership In The Underachievers Club
The saying that birds of a feather flock to together is a truism. You cannot live above the level of your highest thinking on a regular basis. Thinking big and thinking well is one thing but thinking big and well on a continual basis and sustaining success motivation to goal achievement is quite another. You see, you need to be surrounded and supported by people the constantly remind you of your greatness and of your potential.
Let me tell you something. You want to know who you friends really, really are? Start creating success in your life from thinking big. Your success will strengthen and encourage your real friends or it will offend so called friends who are just underachievers in disguise.
You can have real friends who are themselves struggling to reach for their dreams of success. These friends will either celebrate your success as you grow or they will eventually leave your life. You can be sure that your success will divide your social network. You will have to decide to move on with your dreams and goals not matter what.
Big Dreams Are Offensive
Realize that big dreams are offensive. You can even offend yourself! Do you have thoughts like "I can't do that", "I don't deserve that", "That can never happen for me"? Have you thought anything similar to these thoughts whenever you thought about doing something big and magnificent? That's the kind of language you hear when you are offended and insulted at the idea of doing something big. The root causes of some of these reactions are insecurity, self-doubt, fear, unbelief, uncertainty.
You must resist that part of you that is kicking and screaming to stay in the comfort zone. That part of you that wants to hold on to fear, uncertainly and doubt about the future and stay in the zone of mediocrity, familiarity and known comfort.
You must evict such thinking and such emotion. So must you also resist those around you who react the same way. When you dream big and start to get things done, your life and action will highlight the lack of action of those around you. They will begin to feel uncomfortable and that will offend. So they will react with words that are outright designed to discourage or they may take a more subtle approach and say things like, "Are you sure you can handle that?", "You don't be so excited", "Be careful", "You should wait and think on it some more", "Isn't that going to be hard to do", etc..
Dreaming of Change
Don't be discouraged if the whole world doesn't rally around you and get behind your dreams. In fact, you should only share your dreams with those you know can be fully trusted to support you. Start first with yourself. Entrust your dreams to yourself. Don't put your dreams in the hands of anyone else until you are fully on board to getting something done.
The absence of fear, uncertainty and doubt is not your signal to act. You not have perfect circumstances, mind sets or feelings before you act. You will need to act now in spite of fear, uncertainty and doubt and acting helps stomp out fear, uncertainty and doubt. Start small while dreaming big but do start.
When you are committed to achieving your dreams, change will come. You will find yourself stretching and reaching to become who you must become to achieve the success you must achieve. Your mind will change, your actions will change and your character will change.
Only submit your dreams and goals to trusted people who will support you all the way. You should identify those achieve the results you are after and connect with them. You should include those who may not be seeking your level of success but are a source of support and encouragement to you. You should connect with peers are at your level so that you can mutually walk and run on your journeys together.
Dream For A Change
Dreams are a power unto themselves. It is amazing that even if you have small thinking, dreams can still be larger than any life you are currently living. There is no denying destiny and the passions of the heart. You are created for achievement. What we end of doing is listening to the nay sayers and negative self-talk and we play down our potential and live small. Eventually we do stop dreaming. But dreams never die. They just lay dormant for a season. They wait for that spark or glimmer of hope and possibility.
Your dreams are dead! You just need to ignite them again. Terminate your membership in the underachievers club and you will find yourself dreaming big again. Seek out big dreams and achievers. That is the quickest way to dreaming again. You will begin to see what is possible for you.
Underachievers don't dream of breaking free. It's too scary out there for them. Instead, they criticize the faults and stumbles of those achieving something right now. They don't understand that you have to keep trying and you will succeed. They are afraid of failure and they don't want to risk change.
Don't let that be you any longer. Dream for a change and act. You will change. Dream.

Who Wants To Be An Extreme Entrepreneur?
I had the pleasure the other day to read a book by Micheal Simmons who publishes the Young Entrepreneur Journey blog.
His book is entitled The Student Success Manifesto How To Create A Life Of Passion, Purpose and Prosperity.
Michael's book is targeted towards young college age adults but this book is significant for all ages as old and young alike can learn quite a bit from the mind and heart of this young man. As I read the book I was delighted by the wisdom and excellence that pours from young Michael. There also was a lot of things that validated my personal beliefs and values as well.
Extreme Entrepreneur?
What is an extreme entrepreneur? Lest you think that this is some type of radical philosophy let me explain. Michael says:
Put simply, Extreme Entrepreneurship is a framework for maximizing the value you add to yourself and others.
So what's so extreme about that? Well, his definition as a one liner is highly simplified for starters but happily Michael builds upon this concept throughout the remainder of the book.
This book is really about defining your own path and ignoring the conventional norms in order to find your passion, your purpose and your prosperity. Michael challenges you to challenge your context. You are challenged to consider your ideas, your learning, your actions and your personal value.
The driving force and what I think is the real chief cornerstone of The Student Success Manifesto is when Michael states in the preface of the book:
The goal of this book is to help students self-educate and create their own measures of success regardless of the quality of their school system or social background.
Self-Education Success Manifesto
I passionately subscribe to this mindset. Your greatest success is that of your own choosing. The challenge is that we allow other people and other systems do the choosing for us and we just follow a plan automatically. These systems are inherently conventional and seek to conform us to predictable patterns and mediocre outcomes.
I am a student of accelerated learning and self-education as the foundation for personal success. In this day and age, how you learn becomes more important than what you learn because how you learn will last you for a lifetime but what you learn is just for the moment. Knowledge comes and goes. In this modern age you will have to be able learn, unlearn and relearn in order to keep up, stay competitive and stay ahead.
The Extreme Entrepreneur is the realization that conventional education while valuable doesn't account for your unique intrinsic value nor does it consider your personal and innermost passions and talents. You have to take up the responsibility for educating yourself and blazing your own trail to success and life happiness. You can't leave it to others to do that for you or properly equip for success. You have to pursue and design your own learning as you design your own life. They go hand and hand. Learning without a life is stagnation and life without learning is limitation.
More importantly, the Extreme Entrepreneur Journey is about the enlightened mindset that blazing your own trail in pursuit of your purpose inevitably leads you to contributing your highest value to society and it is those moments that you will begin to experience your richest returns of success and prosperity. More than just another success motivation and positive thinking text, Michael and the Student Success Manifesto lays out a blueprint for how to think and act in order to blaze your own trail while providing your greatest value.
Michael doesn't tell you what to think. He gives you the facts and lays out a plan that when followed will release your potential for prosperity and happiness.
Michael considers himself a student entrepreneur and while his book is a call to his peers to think beyond conventional conditioning to create an uniquely extraordinary lifel, you don't get the sense that his book is only for college age young adults.
Michael's tone is mature and that of a seasoned and successful entrepreneur who is teaching what he's lived. The Extreme in Extreme Entrepreneur is necessary because what Michael is asking you to do is choose and change and for most of us that really is an extreme idea.
The idea that you can just simply choose to be different from the next moment and into the rest of your life is a concept that is easy to understand but takes a radical commitment to personal passion, purpose and prosperity if you are to do it successfully.
I think the term (extreme) fits quite nicely. This book is a call to go against your self-limiting beliefs and those behaviors that are currently not producing positive outcomes. Micheal backs up his philosophy with various statistics about real success in the real world. Here are just a few points from his book:
1. Twenty percent of people who did not graduate college earn more than college graduates.
2. Over fifty percent of all CEOs for Fortune 500 companies had C or C- averages in college.
3. Over 50% of millionaire entrepreneurs never finished college.
These are just a few of the facts about creating real success for yourself. Along with the facts, Michael takes you through an examination of the thoughts and actions that hinder us from realizing our value and personal success. He contrasts that information with those thoughts and actions we should choose to acquire in order to live life that it is meant to be lived...by our own dictates and dreams.
Life is a customized experience. You owe it to yourself to break free of limiting systems that prevent you from doing what you desire most to do. We all need an extreme mindset on a regular basis!
Conclusion
The best education is lifelong education and education that delivers to you a life of your own choosing and according to your own happiness. Self-determination is one of your greatest God-given assets. Michael helps us realize that through a blueprint that can be applied to anyone, anywhere, with any life that they seriously want to change.
One of the most powerful things you can possess is the realization that your life has value and that you were put here by design to deliver value to others. You don't have to struggle with what you don't know and what you don't have.
Actually the odds are in your favor whether you believe it or not. By choosing to live on your own terms you have started a journey that most people will never embark on. A journey of self-education, self-actualization and self-directed success.
And that to most people...is pretty Extreme.
Please visit Micheal's blog at Young Entrepreneur Journey blog and pick up a copy of his book The Student Success Manifesto How To Create A Life Of Passion, Purpose and Prosperity.
If you have or know young people of high school and college age, get them a copy of this book. But don't miss out on this one yourself. This is book for all adults no matter your age and your life will be the better for having read it.

Growing Why'ser (Wiser)
Okay so perhaps that is a poor play on words. Let's talk about growing the why's in our lives. Jim Rohn said that "when the why gets stronger the how get's easier".
Do you have enough why's in your life? Do you have strong why's in your life? Here's what I'm talking. Your why's provide meaning and substance for the things you are setting out to achieve and obtain for your life. You can want a home or car or clothes and you should want those things.
But...
Is wanting those things enough to get you to where you need to be in order to obtain them? Perhaps and perhaps not. Your why's are what keep you going when the going gets tough. It is what compels you to stand when you, having done all...the only thing you can do is just stand.
Your why's provide patience and grit for the duration of time. It keeps you thinking positive and focused on your purpose.
If you want a car, why do you want that type of car? If you want more money, why do you want more money?
Why are your goals important to you? Understanding your why's provide you with a larger than objective reason to get it going and keep it going. If you want more money because of who you must become to obtain a certain level of income and for what it can provide for your family and for doing good in the world...THAT is a compelling reason why you would want more money! It goes beyond just wanting more money because more is better...no, it goes beyond just wanting and it touches your core values and beliefs.
You will be more empowered for long term success and immediate results when you aligned what you want with what you truly believe!
You are completely unstoppable when you are fully persuaded of why you want something. The world will have to give way to your will and power as you set out to achieve your goal and get what you want.
Why Ask Why?
You don't have to live the average life. Ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing. Ask yourelf why you need to change. Ask yourself why you need to succeed. Ask yourself why.
Asking yourself powerfully compelling questions is a great way to clarify meaningfulness or the lack thereof in what you are doing and what you need to do to create lasting change and personal power. Success motivation, positive thinking and personal happiness are the result of a clarity of purpose and values.
That is why it is so important to not just set goals but to design a life around the things that matter most to you. That is, your core values and the things that you have clear convictions about. That things that matter most are the things that you most believe in. Incorporate that into your life plan and you are fueling yourself with what it takes to truly endure and enjoy your journey!
Why for Wisdom and Action
Wisdom comes to you when you understand why. If you understand why you are doing something the "how" begins to work itself out and reveal itself in form of information, instruction, mentoring, and intuition that will help you develop a wise attitude about that appropriate actions you need to take to achieve your dreams. This is the beginning of positive momentum that builds and feeds upon itself and increases your power to achieve and realize your dreams.
Brian Tracy talks about the Law of Reversability. This law states action creates ability. For example, act confident and you become confident.
I like to say it this way the power to do comes in doing. This is important for understanding how to create momentum as you are compelled by your why's to take action. You don't have to worry about your how's. Give yourself enough why's and take action. How you will get there and how you will eventually accomplish something will become apparent. You will never know until you act and while will fully see unless you act.
Your ability will expand and the power to achieve will come upon you. And the will to win again and again will remain with you because no matter what you are facing or going through...you will always know in your heart...WHY you are going to keep it going.

The 7 Precepts of Eagles - Daily Motivation
Okay, It's 2005 and it's time for you to get to work at making 2005 your best year ever! Don't relax or get comfortable! You may feel good about the feeling of a fresh slate that normally accompanies the turn of a new year but don't allow yourself to be lulled into a false sense of change and progress.
Your daily motivation must be rooted in clearly defined goals with corresponding actions. Think bigger and better about yourself this year and do more than you've ever done before!
The Eagle has become a powerful metaphor for leadership and success. The eagle metaphor is used to communicate leadership traits such as speed, strength, power, nobility and freedom.
You are designed for achievement and these characteristics are at your disposal. You only need to develop these characteristics. These leadership traits are really habits that you simply apply yourself consistently. Leaders are not born they are made and anyone can enjoy the results of successful leadership characteristics.
Daily success motivation is a common trait for those who have a vision for leadership and strength. You are that person.
Here are 7 precepts for soaring like an Eagle. Using these 7 precepts, you will prepare yourself for a powerfully precise 2005 with on target goal achievement and daily success.
1. Clear Purpose! Clarity is critical. Your destination cannot be reached without a roadmap to a specific destination and no compelling journey can begin without a vision of where you are going. Establish your purpose and reason for being and pursue it with all abandon.
2. Passion! Passion is the product of purpose. How bad do you want?! Does your heart burn for it?. You will really begin to walk in your success when you give yourself fully to the things you are passionate about.
3. Potential! You have to fully appreciate your potential and seek to understand your potential. Your potential is your untapped strength and store up power. Your experience is NOT your potential. Your purpose is equal to your potential. Purpose and Potential go hand in hand. Your purpose is your reason and intention. Your potential is the power to fulfill your intentions.
4. Planning. If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail. To lead and succeed you must plan your actions and get it going. Don't wander aimlessly. Plan your aim and then work your plan.
5. Persistence. You must always be in relentless pursuit of your vision and insist on having what you want. Drive that message home to yourself over and over again. Don't look for hand outs. Instead, stretch your hand out and reach for your dreams. There is a powerful quote by Mike Murdock that says "God didn't put the grapes in your hand, He put them within your reach." Your mission is the reach out and pursue your dreams. Your desire is proof of possibility. If you can dream it then you certainly can achieve it. But you must make it happen and you must insist on having what you want.
6. People. Surround yourself with smart and visionary people. Connect with people who can help you connect with your vision. Connect with other people where YOU you can help them connect with THEIR goals. Avoid toxic people who are miserable and are willing poison your vision.
7. Prayer You must take care of your spirit. Start your day by synchronizing your mind, body, and spirit dimensions. Meditate on the goodness of life and give thanks for what you have and get excited about where you are choosing to go. Center your being on your purpose and start each day powerfully with vision, passion and purpose richly rooted in your heart.

The Power of Focus - Living On Purpose
You create conflict and uncertainty when your highest values and natural abilities conflict with the work you do and the actions you take.
Your purpose is the big picture and your goals are the stepping stones. To fully capture the sensation of being alive and experience peace of mind you will need to to align your daily goals with a well defined purpose.
This brings us to the last strategy from the The Power of Focus, Living on Purpose. I have really enjoyed sharing this power book with you and I hope you've enjoyed this series as well. What I've shared has been a mix of my personal take-aways from The Power of Focus along with the strategies straight from the book.
Whether you want to develop success motivation habits, develop powerful positive thinking or create positive change it all starts with a journey. That journey is to learn and to continue to learn all lifelong. The single most important thing that successful people do is learn. You mind is your single greatest asset in your journey for personal happiness.
Is this all there is?
Are you at a crossroads? Are you sensing a void in your work and a deeper hunger for something more out of life?
Everyone at various levels of life hunger for hunger for meaning in their lives. We all need to feel deeply that our lives matter at that we are making a difference.
At the center of your purpose the personal power to make a difference, the live according to what matters most to you and the ability to make the most of your every waking moment of your life.
When you are clear on the why for living you don't have to worry about how to live and what to live for - T. L. Pierce, Upgrade Your Mind
This is your task for the journey: To answer your "why" for living by establishing a clearly defined purpose. When you adopt a lifestyle that is driven but purpose you create opportunities to enrich others and make a difference. You purpose will always serve the greater good of others. Any purpose designed to serve yourself at the expense of others is not true purpose. Consider your purpose your true work in life. What is your work?
Your natural talents and gifts are indicators of what you are created and designed to do. Your desires and passionate interests are glimmers of what is possible for your to pursue. I believe that there is not desire given to you that does not have accompanying it the power of see it realized.
Learning to Live on Purpose
Ultimately the law of sowing and reaping and the golden rule provide some inspiration for why you must pursue purpose for your life. You must exercise your gifts in the service others and service to others will in some way be found in your purpose. Your purpose is designed to naturally incorporate the Law of Sowing and Reaping because the more you give then the more you will receive. The way you treat others is the way you will ultimately be treated.
At the end of your gifts, calling and purpose is a life waiting to be changed - T. L. Pierce, Upgrade Your Mind
The best that life has to offer you will be found in the service of others. After all, isn't most wealth gained by providing a service to others? I'm not just talking financial wealth. I'm talking about wealth of health, relationships, peace, happiness and more.
Your purpose is a gaze into your future. It is a picture of what you are willing to pursue - T. L. Pierce, Upgrade Your Mind
What you see determines how you feel and what you desire. You must behold what inspires you.
What are doing with your life?
What is your life's work all about?
What will be your legacy when you life is over?
Here are 3 key points to activate your purpose:
1. Align your purpose with your natural ability. Discovering your natural abilities is part of your life's work. It is part of the game. Align your work or your purpose with your natural abilities and gifts. When your work and your abilities aren't in sync you create a crossroad of conflict. You can eliminate that through proper alignment.
2. Be determined. Don't get distracted or subject to the influence of other people. Stay on track and stay with it. Sometimes it will be lonely. Only when you give yourself to your work will your gift make room for you. Grab a hold of a singleness of mind and commit to doing whatever it takes to fulfill your purpose and your life's work.
3. Maintain a humbleness attitude. Don't allow and unhealthy ego over ride your good intentions. You don't have to be concerned with fame and fortune and you shouldn't be. Individuals who have the greatest and most positive impacts on society aren't concerned with fame and fortune. For every purpose and vision there is provision. Your needs will more than be met and abundance will follow your purpose in overwhelming amounts when you allow your calling to serve others.
Discovering Your Purpose
You need to spend the time necessary to discover your purpose. The first thing you must do is take time off to think about what you want to do with your life...literally. Step away from the noise of daily life and think about it. You cannot discover your purpose on the run. Take sanctuary or retreat for personal time and begin your work.
You have to work it out before your work gets out - T. L. Pierce, Upgrade Your Mind
You have to labor sight unseen. This is what I call the Principle of Obscurity (I'll share more on this in and upcoming article). You have to labor and toil uncelebrated and into the night when working on defining your purpose, refining your purpose and in ultimately realizing your purpose. You alone have to work it out before your work gets out.
Define your purpose and pursuit no matter what. Celebrate your journey, serve others and you will see your work get out to others. Your greatness will draw others who are great and compel them to help you. Your greatness will inspire others to be great. You will attract all the people and resources you need to see your work grow and you realize your dreams come true. But you have to work it out. Establish the "why" and the "how" and "what" will follow suit.
You are struggling because you are lacking a clearly defined purpose. Your purpose will overwrite any view of your life as a struggle.
Here are some key considerations for discovering your purpose:
What do you do best?
What do you really enjoy doing?
Have you established your Priority Focus?
Are you in have-to mode or choose-to mode? Are choosing enthusiasm and empowerment?
Discovering your purpose begins with recognizing your special skills and talents. You don't have to work and live your life bored, stagnant and just going through the motions. Purposeful work begins with work that you care deeply about. You don't have to do work and you shouldn't do work that doesn't inspire you and challenges you.
When you live your life on purpose you feel you are making a difference and you don't have to seek fame. When you serve a purpose larger than yourself you level of commitment expands. As your purpose begins to unveil and unfold before you, you will approach life from your own unique philosophy to life and big picture viewpoint.
Routine and mundane tasks become less important and your life work takes on new meaning. To realize your fullest potential you life goals must reflect your purpose and the pursuit of money will only result and a portion of life truly passing you by.
